This is happening on my wife's phone an I have not been able to figure out what is causing it. She will be playing on the phone then she will get a Gmail or another icon that is on the launcher screen the stays on the screen even when going in to some apps you can tap the icons behind it. the only way I have fond to get rid of it is a soft reset. The phone is completely stock. i searched around and have not found anything about this.
