Gingerbread More Compatible than Previously Reported, Coming to LG Optimus After-all

If you're rooted all you need to do is hit the market for apps2sd -- and I meant free to me from people who had upgraded. I'll give 'em a good home. :D

The LG Ally still has 2.1, are you sure apps2sd will work on it?
I couldn't even get Titanium Backup to move the apps to her SD card, that option was grayed out.

Best I can say is give it a try. I know apps2sd works on a Droid on 2.1.

But maybe with Gingerbread hitting soon LG will support the Ally and update it to FroYo?

And on a side note, the local franchise/independent VZW store (where I got my Droid free with a $35 single-line activation fee) used to advertise the Ally as "the latest Droid phone from Verizon!" with a buy-one-get-three-free-after-$100-mail-in-rebate-that-we're-not-telling-you-about promotion. :)
