Gingerbread on May 27th

Dumb question and its probably been asked and answered already but what is the correct process to remove bootstrap? Do i just uninstall and then delete? Im rooted but no roms or anything fancy besides a theme

If you themed, you will need to atleeast flash the "sbf theme" files.

Probably better off doing a full sbf.

I will be doing full SBF when ready to upgrade. My question is if my phone indicates that there is an update available (I am running 595) then what? I SBF and then it will say there is an update available?

Those who have Gingerbread already installed does one of the enhancements include faster speed for the Droid X? Or is the speed about the same?

Yep, my benchmarks went from (stock froyo) 1250 or so to 1700's with GB. A nice little bonus aside from how nice everything looks!
