Gmail problem

Just want to chime in and say I'm having the same problem. I do hope it's on Google's end. I haven't had sync since yesterday afternoon (11/3/10). I've made sure the sync settings for my Gmail account are turned on, I've cleared data and cache from my Gmail app on the phone...I've gone through all the tricks short of resetting the phone to factory defaults.

My co-workers are not having any sync issues with their phones...granted they have different models (one with an Ally, one with a Droid, and the other with a Droid 2) so I would love to know what's going on. Is this just a Droid X issue?

I'm not sure it seems random. my friend with an incredible is suffering the same issue.

I am having problems on Droid 1 also. I can manually receive emails, but can not send any. I have checked all the obvious on my end, but still have not been able to resolve my problem. Hopefully google will get this fixed soon!

Seeing some improvements over the past couple of hours, email notifications starting up. Also see the Google Mobile site (link posted previously) on this issue, many others are seeing the same. Note that I did not get any Gmail app updates today (all updates set to manual).

Hey guys - Just thought I'll give a quick update. Everything is working as it should be now. I didn't made any changes to the settings or anything, but noticed that it's sorted since evening.

I hope no one is facing the sync issue now.

Weird issue. My Droid X was working fine but many others were not.

Another thing I have sometimes done is to check if Gtalk can connect. In the past if I've run into an issue I also sometimes find Gtalk stalls trying to get a connection.

Think I spoke too soon, I have started having the same issue once again.

Looks like mine has been straightened out...I get my Gmail sync'd automatically to the phone once again. Good stuff.

sounds like you need to update your roaming capabilities.
*228 then enter 2. once you update your phone you should be okay.
