ok i wanna delete my gmail account on my phone i made a new gmail account tot replace it , my 1st gmail account was hacked thats why i want it deleted off my phone so i can use my new email. does anyone know how to delete the old email so it wont be on my phone, and if i delete it will my apps stay ? can i sync everything to my new email ? dancedroid

Best, foolproof way to switch is factory data reset.

This will wipe your apps and contacts however.

There are a few backup apps in market that will allow you to backup these items.

Try MyBackUp. Works great for me. you can save apps and just find them in the marketplace later. you will have to install them all again but it keeps tabs on which ones you have downloaded/purchased.
