Well I loved the rezound but the problem is I'm on a budget for buying phones(I have to get a phone and a computer with the money I get from my iphone, so ebays a good friend).. What do you think about the Bionic or the Samsung Exhibit 2?

Bionic gets a bad rap when it's a great phone! The only negative to me is the camera, which is a software fix that should be fixed with this next update!

The Exhibit 2 is for Tmobile not Verizon!

Not sure what phones you can use for prepaid, but you might want to check out the new Red Droid Incedible 2 which will be FREE this Friday ONLY!

And I know u were talking prepaid And keeping it cheep.. but if ur new to Verizon Amazon has the HTC rezound for 1cent new costumer only with 2 year commitment check it out.

I love my bionic. Much snappier than rezound. And its getting ics. Officially and 2ndinit flavors. Overclocking coming soon also. And its priced better. Ota soon! Fun times

You could more than likely get a Bionic on a good deal from Verizon with a contract. I remember reading that you were looking to not get into a contract however, that may actually keep you from getting something you'd really like. The Bionic has enormous support on the forums, as well as the guides you'd need to do your hacking and install ROM's, I would recommend getting a 1 year just to get the Bionic.

I personally would not want to be on a GSM network.

From what I understand the CDMA network is much better.

Someone else can probably shed a little more light on that subject.

Also I don't think Tmobile phones can update firmware via OTA.

Welcome Elizabeth. Looks like everybody has you covered.

Personally, I think that hacking the iphone/ipod touch is harder because of how locked down the software is. My ipod touch was such a pain and iTunes sucked lol. Atleast that's how it was when I used it 4 or so years ago...

So far I really like the Rhyme, Incredible and Bionic. But I don't know if they can be used with prepaid Verizon so I'll have to do some research. If not I'll probably reach for something more like the Samsung Exhibit.

Welcome and its good to here that you are taking up android - Don t look back, you've made a wise decision.

As far as considering prepaid service - Currently, you cannot activate - HTC and 4gLte phones on the prepaid service.

Just in case you haven't looked into prepaid monthly service - they are $5 more than the 2yr contract plan ie: $39.99 450 min plan is $44.99. In addition, unlimited smartphone data still exists when you go prepay. One thing to consider is paying high retail price for the handset vs. 2yr agreements.

You'll do fine in the Android world - droidforums.net is the best place for input - users are friendly here. The only thing that seems to get people on the edge is the many release date rumors for the latest android handsets on the Verizon network. I think Verizon gets its kick making all of us stir over when they are going to actually release the latest and greatest.
