Personally, I don't think you could pay me to trade my droid for an iphone, but if it works for you then great. In my opinion it's an overpriced phone that you can't do anything with. Everything is locked down the way apple wants it, I like the customizability of android but I'm willing to trade some stability for it.
Also, if you think the iphone is free from issues like force closes then prepare to be disappointed
To each their own. The iPhone is a very reliable phone, still with my favorite exterior design (minus the small screen). If the new iPhone was going to have a bigger screen and 4g I would have considered jumping over myself. If you do change your mind and decide to stay with Android, maybe try a different company like Samsung and HTC. I love HTC, but you could always wait for the nexus prime. Anyways goodluck with any phone you get and hope it suits YOU
What's not to love? The small screen, the nanny state mentality of which apps can be installed, iTunes, the fact that you can't download a file from a link in the default browser (to try to force you to go through an iStore), the fact that it easily shatters...all so cute! What am I leaving out?
That about covers the negatives, there are positives but I will never know what they are. Although I feel the app store is more akin to a German SS officer than a nanny.
I'm so sick and tired of every update to android to fix a bug they introduce 2 new ones that I'm jumping ship. I've had the Ipad since it came out and have been very happy with it. Now that Verizen has the Iphone I'm going to cut my losses and get one. Anyone else feel the same way?
Interesting perspective- but I'm on the flip side of the coin. I've refused all the updates on my Droid X & couldn't be happier. I have an iPad, but wish I'd waited for the Android tablets. Can't stand the keyboard on the iProducts & lack of flash is pretty rediculous. The Droid phones are just SO flexible, I don't think I could ever give that up. It's not unheard of for iPhones to have problems with updates too, I don't think I'd jump ship just because of that.
I believe the iphone is somewhat turning into a droid. I say this because look at all the specs for iOS 5, the notifications are more "like" android, and also having the ability to upgrade software and firmware OTA instead having to use iTunes and so many other things. If anything, apple will be taking notes from google more often, now that steve has sadly passed. In my opinion, steves dead, apples "control" and supposed "unique" design is dead. Jump ship and see what phone makes you happy, you will miss android! BTW I will post a link that states the similarities apple iOS 5 has that android has done from the start.
No, not likely. I`ll entertain the idea of an iPhone when they can use an SD card for memory expansion, user swappable battery, widgets, true customization of the UI and no need for iTunes...until then, I will gladly sport my Droid X...
My Droid X does what the iPhone does, as well as the things an iPhone cant do...
Idk y u would downgrade to an iphone. Clearly u have no idea what a DROID can do. If u get a iphone
Make sure u hold it just right so u can make a phone call. Android for life. DROIDX and all android phones have live wallpapers, flash, widgets, removable battery/sd card for extra bang, ability to create ur own apps, and so many others to list.
