This is the day that all of you Chromecast owners have been waiting for! At least I know I have been! Until now we have been limited to a handful of apps that will function with the Chromecast, mainly Youtube and Netflix. Not to long ago Google announced a few more apps that would function with the device but our options have been pretty limited overall. There was some awesome development for this device early on which was abruptly shut down by Google. Koush had developed an app that would allow you to stream local content to your TV, but it was never released to the public.

Today Google opened up development for the Google Chromecast by releasing the SDK. You will soon see lots of apps that include the Chromecast buttons. Im looking forward to see what developers come up with. If you are a developer head to the source link for more info.
