google map navigation voice changing

I remember this happening. A couple times on my droid bionic [gingerbread] . Surprised me also it was when it went. From the low quality one to the high, good sounding one. Never figured it out. I upgraded to ics and now i always hear. The better one.

Think i know why. How is your data connection, cuz when she shifted to HQ i was in a strong 4g area. And i know i never. Heard it on 3g. It once was so horrid but that was when i had data drops. Thinking. It scales the quality based on connection. Speed/quality. And or latency. Thoughts?
Love the consistent. Ics voice' though strange. I heard a couple times on gingerbread

I fixed my double voice issue.
I use svox here's what I did;

Uninstalled maps
Reinstalled maps
When message came up google maps needs to download additional voice/ IGNORE.
It asked me again today say no.
I no longer have the wicked voice telling me "in 3/4 mile take county road...

Mine has a few voices...one if the new one like you hear, then it will sound like its trying to change back to the old one and then there is the one that sounds like a cigarette smoking granny from jersey!

*update* The old granny voice has left my phone, may she rest in peace!
