Google Messages Beta Program

Google announced yesterday that they are starting a Beta program for the Messages app (sometimes referred to as Android Messages or Google Messages).

An excerpt from Google: "Messages, Google’s messaging app for Android phones, will begin an Open Beta program. The Open Beta gives users the opportunity to test, and provide input and feedback, on experimental features not yet released to the general public..."

Nope. By the time I posted this, it was full already. But I'll keep checking

Until Google messages gets to vz messages quality I'm out.
Seriously, only piece of bloatware that is actually really good!

Verizon Message+ is not bad, I do agree with that statement. Right now I like Google Messages for the simple layout, less clutter than Message + and the quick sync with my Chromebook. But definitely nothing wrong with Messages+, one Verizon app I would also never call bloatware

Agree. Google Messages pales compared to just about every messaging app. And agree VZW Messages is the best app they've ever made.
I use Pulse, though. [emoji16]

Maybe it's a good thing the Messages Beta program filled up so quickly? I just saw that the users running the first Beta release aren't doing so well. The first Beta app release crashes instantly on opening.

But that comes with Beta testing, it's bound to happen and users that do sign up for Beta programs usually know the risks

I don't need much with texts I get them and I can answer I'm good haha

Most of my messages are on iMessage
And that's cool. But what draws me to Android is customization... And Google's apps are the least customizable.
It amazes me I still have to be an arrow in Maps. [emoji16]

Looks like Google added some more slots to the Messages Beta program. I just checked and the Join option was available.
