Google Now's Text-to-Speech Gets a More Human Sounding Voice Update

I'm confused. I turned off Moto Voice a few weeks ago. Driving mode kicks in when driving. The male voice reads my text. But navi and Google Now is the default voice. So who's reading me my text? Lol #Creepy

Thanks Jonny! That did the trick for me. I just updated the TTS app and now she sounds like the new version in the video, not quite as robotic as earlier today when I asked the same question.

I've got great hearing. I hear a difference in the default female voice and voices 1-3 for sure, but I still can't get the gn voice to be British.

I couldn't stand the US voice so much that my entire phone is set UK. It see the £ everywhere instead of $ my keyboard spells colour, armour, and other words using S instead of zed. it was strange at first... I really enjoy it now though. The voice also sounds alot more natural than the US one (not like cortana or siri) but better.

Moto voice also sounds more natural, I recently discovered I could tell moto voice to play X album on google play or watch X video on youtube and it sends it to Google now and then opens the app and plays the song or video. extremely useful while driving.

hopefully they've updated the UK variant as well.

OK. I just asked Google to do some quick math for me for a project I'm working on & the voice definitely sounds smoother now.

Mine still seems like the newer, smoother voice. I just asked a math question also and she sounds smoother. Still a little robotic, bit not as bad. I mean it is a robot talking to us, do we really want it to sound completely human?
