Can anyone tell me what this phone has to really offer other than "prompt" updates. Maybe I'm just a Samsung "fanboy" but since the S3 it just seems to me everyone else is behind the times....
I need a phone with features and options and to me nothing beats the Note series.

Pretty much stock Android, already running Nougat and the new Google Assistant. Plus a really good camera. Those seem to be the main selling points. After using a pretty much stock Android phone (with the Moto App) for 2 years now I like the experience. This phone seems similar to me in that regard...pretty much stock Android with the Google Assistant added in.
I also read today that the Pixel has OK Google detection even when the screen is off, like the Moto App. I wonder if Rick Osterloh had anything to do with that?
My Note 4 ended up with Ok Google detection with screen off at one point too, though they kept adding it & taking it away. I think it finally had it full time by the time I upgraded.
Cool, didn't know that was baked into the Google app for other phones. I thought the screen had to be on first. It's good to see the stuff that Moto created (like Always Listening) when they were owned by Google make its way into stock Android. [emoji106]
According to reports I read elsewhere this week, the Google Store is backed up to a point of there being like a 5 week wait for the XL when buying through them. Phone launches this week, but people who sign up on the waitlist there will be lucky to have them by mid to late November...
Yeah. Google had been out of stock almost since day 1 on those. A few days ago, you could still order one from Verizon, but I'm reading that they didn't get any in-store.
Seems like they underestimated the popularity of that option.
