I've downloaded the Google play store app on my phone but still can't download anything else; Every attempt fails with the following error message: (rpc:s-7:AEC-0)

Can anyone please help?

Thank You.

Try clearing data and cache on settings - apps - playstore and playstore services..

Or trying removing the account and logging in again.

On what phone? I've had to delete my google account to get it to work before and clear data/cache from google play services

My phone is an Lg Motion. Lg-Ms 770

I tried both of your suggestions, but unfortunately they didn't work.

What was the version of the Play Store you downloaded? Seems weird that you'd have to download/side load(?) that app. It's usually pre-loaded on all official Android devices

Tapped from a Moto X

Play Store version 3.7.15

Seems kinda old, I'm on 4.8.20 and running Android version 4.4.2. What Android version are you on?

What's you Google Play Services version you have(Settings/Apps/All apps/Google Play Services)? The latest should be 5.0.84.

I can post what I have to see if that helps.

Well, this is the second time I am answer this question over some forum. So, it looks like the other members have taken you towards the right direction and as you said you are still experiencing the same problem then I am afraid but I think you have to do a factory reset I there was a user over the Androidcentral forum started taking about this thread, in the mean time i have suggested a number of .... i.e I can see members have already talked about it !! So at least the OP has factory reset her device and the problem gets solved. So, what I can suggest you over here is if you can't make it then factory resetting might be the only way out :(
