about 2 weeks for me. I was surprised at how fast the invite came.

i guess i still don't understand google voice. i got a google wave invite. i'm guessing a google voice invite has to come from someone else?

Settings, Phones, Edit the entry for your droids number.

Uncheck "Receive SMS on this phone".

I do not see this feature. Am I doing something wrong? I actually don't see anything about SMS in my settings. I am trying to use GV for sms.

Make sure your phone is listed as a mobile phone...non-mobile phones won't list an SMS option. But yes, settings-->phones-->edit should give you a check box to uncheck.
