Gorilla Glass and screen protectors?

Since I will always have my phone in the leather Verizon case (not a pocket unprotected), I didn't feel a huge NEED to put a screen protector on. But since it's such an easy "do it and forget it" type of thing, I took a recommendation from another user on here and ordered the Steinheil Ultra Crystal screen protector (2 came in the package) and put one on. I figured it won't hurt anything and now I don't have to worry about it. Here's the thread that turned me onto the Steinheil protectors:
