Is data needed for GPS to work on the Bionic? On my OG Droid, if I lost the data connection, GPS would still work fine, I just wouldnt get route updates. Whereas with the Bionic, loss of data seems to make melose my GPS connection too.
Also, GPS does not seem to work from "cold". I need to toggle on/off to fire it up and it takes a few minutes to get a signal. Once it has been turned on once, I get GPS back pretty quickly in a few seconds.
Called Verizon & Moto rech support, they said you need data for GPS but when I asked them more questions, they had no clue, they seemed to be reading off a sheet of paper. If anyone has any info, would be appreciated.
