GPS quit and won't stay in 4G

My GPS just decided to stop working.

At first it showed me about 1 mile away from my physical location.

Now it can't find my location at all.

Also keeps going to 3G when there is ample 4G signal. Goes back to 4G after reboot.

Seems to be hotter than usual and using battery rapidly

Any ideas? I've tried a couple of apps for the GPS from the play store. GPS just does not work.
