GS3 won't set Default App

Every time I try and open something that has multiple applications that could run the task, like making a phone call (phone or Skype) or opening a web browser from an application (Chrome or Internet) I get the prompt asking which app I want to use, I select it and select Always. When I go to do the same task the next time I still get the prompt. It doesn't matter what I'm doing, anytime there is the option to use more than one application the phone doesn't want to remember the default app I tell it to use. I've already looked in the Application list and none of the applications are selected as defaults for anything. What is going on?

you are not the only one who has this issue. i have the issue too. i just dont know how to fix it. i just rooted about 20 mins ago and i dont know if it still does it
