[GUIDE] Making Google Search on Fascinate Permanent. (Requires Root)

I used the free one. I also rooted my phone today after having it a week.

Sweet..Ok I am gonna continue to do my homework..

Kind of a thread jack, but do you d/l ROM's and Themes from a computer then import over, or is all that possible via your Phone??-- Thanks in advance, and last question I will ask lol!

I do everything via pc but it can probably be done via phone. Pc is faster for me plus I can keep track of everything that way.

Thank you very much for all your help!

Hmmm I must be missing something here. How do I "install" that apk file to my phone? From my understanding I would have to d/l it to my Comp then somehow get it to my phone? -- Sorry bout the nooby-ness but I gotta start somewhere lol..

Make sure the file is in an easy access place. (I have a folder called rootfiles on my C:\)

Have you already rooted your phone? If so, just follow this:

Open a search on cmd.exe which should open the command prompt. Then change the directory to wherever you save the google apk file.

Basically, this is what I did in cmd

C:\Users\Clay>cd C:\rootfiles

C:\rootfiles>adb install EnhancedGoogleSearchProvider.apk

As long as you have rooted and your phone is connected to the pc, you should get a transfer rate and then it should say success. Once that's done the file will be on the phone.
