i think i know why symlink fails because the folder dalvik-cache existed in /system/sd folder.

but my ext3 partition is newly created.

any advise?

I cannot appy the drop theme with metamorph cause metamorph always says the file is either damaged or there is something missing... a special type of file...

I'll try to post one more update before the weekend that breaks out more options in the script and update the first post. I'm more or less done playing with the XT720 until there's a 2.2 leak or release for it.

If anyone wants to pick up this project and keep it going by all means, feel free to do so! I don't use the XT720 as my daily phone anymore and I just don't have the time.

Go to page-17, there you can download opt rev for us cbw posted by Mr Navalynt. If you want to start from begining refresh your sbf, also need to repartation your sd card again. You just follow opt-v5 instruction on page one.

I also used the terminal emulater since i dont have access to a computer regularly. I dont really want to flash the sdf either or do u highly recommend i do. Sorry bout all the questions too.

I do not recommed using terminal emulater because if unlucky you will be end up with your phone stuck at M logo(never reboot) and have to reflesh your sbf again. If you never use apps2sd, the different between rev-opt and v5 is build prompt only. There are two theme in rev-opt, you can choose one.You can apply it if never refresh your sbf also.

hey guys... I seem to be having trouble installing apps2sd. Everytime I enter a Y in the installer it gives me this info

insmod of ext2 successful!
mount: invalid argument
error mounting sd ext2, exiting script.

I have flashed and am currently running the Russian sbf. I have tried the original V5 optimizer, and also the rev1 - both give me the same error. My SD card is formatted and partitioned to the specifications listed in the OP.

I can isntall the themes and I think JIT is successful...It tells me on the installer it is, however I don't know how to test it out to see if it really is installed. If i run a benchmark the performance does not change so I'm not sure. The phone reboots in less than 2 minutes and not the 5-10 given in the OP, so I dont know if my phone has installed or done anything. Currently I run no themes.

I tried the drop theme using metamorph - it worked, but after an hour my phone started endless booting, so I had to relash.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys!

Solved it. I tried another version of metamorph and that worked... don't know why.. Had to reboot twice but now seems to work fine and looks great. Are there more themes that work with the xt720?
