Handcent app help with themes

This maybe a dumb question but I downloaded the handcent app and im still getting use to it. I tried downloading themes and I see where their on my phone from the website but my question is how do I apply them!?!?! I can't figure out where from any of the setting choices and I have looked and looked. Also if I apply like a font setting does the people I send it to see it?
