Hands On With the Bionic!!

Is it the autofocus that causes the image to appear to bounce in and out like that so badly? I mean the quality is there for sure but that bouncing to and fro is quite obnoxious.

I'm thinking that might be it cuz the one the guy did in the house was worse than these 2. It was fine when it was zoomed in on the Xoom, but once he started panning around the room it got bad. If it is that....hopefully an update fixes it or it can be turned off in the settings.

Or...is that how auto focus works?

Looks terrific other than the shaking which could be the user.

Yea but what we're talking about is that he looks as though he were playing paddle ball with the it, shaking is one thing but that looks like a sexual favor POV camera in action...pretty unacceptable IMO, and I'm not even that picky!

Autofocus sensors work by detecting colorless contrasts from different shades of gray. That's why you should always look for high contrast areas to co us on, on any camera, and that's why high end focus assist beams project patterns rather than blocks of light for the sensors to focus on.

Expecting the Bionic to have a high quality Autofocus sensor is not reasonable.

I don't think you're following what I'm complaining about, the focus is fine but the effect of zooming in and out slightly and very rapidly at times seems very excessive in these samples.

Using all day on wi-fi. From 8:30am-2:30pm. 80% brightness. Surfing website, downloading apps, etc...Only had screen off not using it for only 5 minutes at a time. Went from 100% to 20% in about 6 hours of heavy, heavy usage.

does the around 6hrs on battery mean it has 6 hrs left on the battery or its been o for only 6 hrs? just trying to make sure i understand it right.

Wait how can the battery be that low when Cell Standby was the biggest offender? I mean that insists the phone practically never had service, and consumes more power than the display while this is true.

I'm suddenly scared.

This.

We've seen this a few times so far and it keeps worrying me. My OG always shows the display being #1 for battery use. Maybe it's because this guy doesn't have good 4G LTE in his area, so it keeps looking for 4G LTE and killing his battery.
