Having An Issue With 2.1 - Come In Here

I was using the HTC keyboard with 2.01 with no problems. Now with 2.1 the correction options overlap the top row of letters. Anybody else have this problem? I think i was running the HTC 14 or something.

I think all you have to do is hold down the options row and then move it to where you want it to be.

Anyone else having unsuccessful download in the marketplace with 2.1? The downloads work only intermittintly for me.

I'm having that problem....I have tried doing app updates and downloading new apps.....all I get is "Download was unsuccessful, please try again later."

Haven't got one to work yet....

2 minutes after this post I was trying a few more....finally got one to work...was probably my 15th attempt....

I don't seem to, but maybe it depends on what you're using for live wallpaper?

Sounds like OP was DL'ing the update file to his droid, but I could be wrong.

Take us through everything you did, beginning with if you downloaded the update file, or received notification that a system update was available please.

Well, the weird part is that it will occassionaly work as I downloaded some live wallpapers and google earth just fine. But 4 out 5 will be "unsuccessful" and I have yet to get an update to download correctly. Any thoughts or ideas? Thanks.

So did the manual update. everything worked fine rebooted and checked the settings and i have the 2.1 update. Longpress and no live wallpapers, open the browser no pinch-zoom, gallery app says not installed.

EDIT: gallery is now working and is 2.1 version after about 3 minutes...still no live wallpapers or pinch zoom in browser give it a few more minutes to see if it changes.

EDIT #2: LOL everything seems to be there and working.

no issues for me. i just downloaded google earth.

I have had that on 2 live wallpapers that I've tried to download, but I have installed Google Earth and Weather channel just fine.

I tried using the stock live wallpapers and found that my phone got real laggy. I have gone back to basic wallpapers and some of the lag has gone but still find the phone choppy and has lags. Any suggestions???

The lags I am experiencing is when my phone goes to sleep and I hit the power button to wake it up, I have to hit it about 3-4 times before my screen will light. Also the unlock slide does not want to respond.

When I try to open any of my apps the transitions are very choppy and the screen freezes often.

At this point I am not real thrilled with the update.

Update: Apparently the marketplace download issue occurs when I'm on 3G only but works fine on WiFi.

Maybe verizon is allocating 3G space for the OTA? (Just a hypothesis)
