Headphone Plug Bug

I'm almost 100% positive this has been discussed, but I can't find it anywhere. Has there been a fix detected for the bug that turns off the phone's speaker when it is plugged in and subsequently unplugged from a car's speaker system through the headphone jack?

I believe it's to plug it in and unplug it 3 times consecutively. Haven't tried it but I remember reading about it last night.

There is an apk out there called Audio Toggle. I don't remember where I got it though. Basically when you run the program it resets the software inputs to act as if the headphones were never there. Works better than plugging and unplugging the headphones
