help deleat texts

my htc droid wont let me delete threads of texts. it only lets me delete a single text at a time. i have about 6000 texts i want deleted because i think its slowing my phone down. is everyone elses Droid slow? i am very dissipointed in how slow mine is. I only have about 7 apps downloaded. please help!!

open up the messaging app and long press on the thread, you should see an option to delete entire thread. At least that's how it works on the Droid, should be the same on the Eris

Text deleting

My droid has the same exact issue. It's really slow and i have the same amount of texts i want to delete too. I found an app that deletes texts and i'm currently trying it out for the first time but it's taking several hours unfortunatly.
