Help! Droid 2 Global black screen after flash

Hello everyone! I'm crossing my fingers that someone could help me with a problem i'm having. i recently bought a d2g that just kept hanging up after the motorola logo. he said he flashed it or something and didn't work after that. after reading through forums i used rsd lite 4.9 and flashed it with DROID2WE_X6_2.4.29_FULL.sbf.

everything seemed to work okay, but now i'm having a problem with the screen. after the motorola logo comes up, the screen goes black with a dim light that blinks every so often. the phone apparently is working because i get response from touching the 4 buttons on the front and can hear the phone dial. i don't think anything's physically wrong with the screen because like i said, i could still see the motorola logo

anyone have this problem before or have a solution? any help would be much would be appreciated

side notes: I can get into bootloader fine, but I can't get into recovery mode

Try reflashing the sbf. Might have just gotten a bad flash.

i just tried reflashing. same result...still no luck.

i have a gut feeling that recovery mode is working, it's just that it won't display anything.

Kinda sounds like something is wrong with the screen/digitizer then.

I was thinking the same thing, but it doesn't explain why i could see the motorola logo and still respond to touch (black screen)

any other ideas?

No sorry. Maybe try posting in the rescue squad subforum. You will probably get more help there as really no one looks in the d2g forum. Only reason i saw this to begin with is it was on the "new posts" page.

If you hold both volume keys and power the phone on it should take you into the bootloader screen. Can you see the text on that screen?

yeah i can actually see the bootloader screen fine. computer also recognizes the phone
