HELP!! Droid x won't boot past the droid logo

Titanium is not a nandroid backup... you must do one within bootstrapper. My signature has a tutorial on it.

Is backing up stock rom necessary? I mean installing the rom didn't really take much timem it was only the apps that took forever to redownload bc market likes to try and download every app at the same time

Uh oh. Looks like you went forward with another rom without a backup. Hahahaha. I guess you know how to sbf now though. You will be fine as long as something doesn't go wrong again. How are you flashing roms? Let me guess. Rom manager?

Lol I guess I did. Well i just put the rom files into the root of my sd, then went into clockwork and followed the instructions in the liberty rom thread.

The problem is without backing up your stock rom, the only way back to stock for updates from vzw is to sbf back to stock. Not a major issue I guess but less convenient than just bootstrapping and flashing your backup because as you know sbf resets everything and flashing a nandroid restores a previous setup with apps and contacts still in tact

Lol. Ya he is going to get used to sbf'ing I guess... lol

For future reference ... always have a stock backup before making any mods. That way you have a way back, and to be able to receive future updates.

Lol yeah il keep that in mind when the next update rolls out. I must say I feel like the battery life is much better on a custom rom
