Help me turn off 3G

Ok this may be a stupid question, on froyo I use to use android booster (just for the on off buttons) to turn off GPRS / 3G and wifi. Thus all data was cut off kinda like airplane mode. Now with GB I notice 3g / GPRS never turns off, is there a way other than airplane mode? As I still want to get text and calls

If you need to turn off mobile data (both 2G and 3G), leaving voice and text messages available, it's done via Battery & data manager → Data delivery → Data enabled.

I don't think 4.5.607 has any options to disable CDMA 3G (EV-DO). For GSM, I can easily switch between 2G and 3G by using the “Select network” option.
