HELP! when I go to home screen, it takes forever to load up shortcuts and widgets

This happens on my d2global. When the physical keyboards open and im in an app or online, then i press the 'home' button, it takes me to a blank homescreen with only my wallpaper. I have to wait and scroll between all 5 screens before any widgeta and time and stuff appear. Still got no fix for it

A few launchers have an option to "lock home in memory". But what works really well, if you're rooted, is creating a local.prop file in the data folder setting your launcher to 0. I almost never get screen redraws since using that trick (there's a topic over in the BB thread). What does happen when using a memory intensive app is some of my widgets or other processes/services will get temporarily killed.

But this is part of the curse of Android's customization. Especially with the low ram on the D1, it's easy to chew-up with widgets and various other programs/apps/services running in the background.

Yep, you can do this manually or just use the Supercharger script that's on these forums for it to do it automatically as well as apply some other memory tweaks. Haven't had a redraw in a long time, but I know how annoying it is when I did have them.
