There are a couple of things you can try...

#1 - go to settings>data manager>social applications and make sure "sync over wifi" is not checked. If it is checked, try it while connected to wifi, or just uncheck it and try again.

#2 - If #1 doesn't work, try dialing #35468#, once it says 'login initiated', do a soft reset (hold down power + volume-down). Once it reboots, give it a minute and try again.

Getting this again and now #2 doesn't even fix it.
