hidden file and folders

New to droidx, takes alot of Pics And Lots Of Pics When Open Gallery. Tried To Hide Some By renaming them. by using .infront, it works not showing up on gallery but the problem is how to view or retreive those pics and folders? plz any one help!!!

Thx, Bnb But I don't think it helps cuz I can not find the files right now. After I put the (.) infront of it. The folders that contain the file saids there is 2 files in the folder but when you click open up the folder, theres nothing shows up. help?
