Hiding/disabling bloatware and unused apps?

I'm considering switching from the Galaxy Nexus to the Rezound... one of the big things that has kept me from making the jump is that with the Nexus you can remove any app and it doesn't come installed with all the extra bloatware. I like things to look simple and organized without all the extra clutter.

I don't want to have to mess with rooting and all of that... is there a way to get rid of all the extra stuff without rooting?

edited to add: want to switch b/c of nexus camera and signal issues

Some of pre installed apps may be uninstallible, but not all of them.

You could download a launcher like Go that can hide apps from the menu.

But the ReZound will be getting ICS so you should be able to disable apps when that comes out.

Check out my post on the CleanTool by Scrosler. Basically you get temporarily rooted so that the bloat can be disabled. Then a simple reboot washes root away but leaves the bloat disabled. Sounds like a viable option for people that don't want the crap or permanent root.

That's nice!

Have you unlocked the bootloader? Once you unlock it you can do a perm root instead of the temp root and get rid of all of that stuff. I did it a couple of days ago from the htcdev website. The Rezound isn't listed but it sure did work. I'm bloatware free on my Rezound, running way smoother and the battery lasts me almost 10 hours with regular usage on 4g goodness.

Thanks everybody! I think this just sealed the deal and I'm going to make the jump... My friend has a Rezound and the difference in the dependability of the two phones are night and day... he always has signal and good phone quality, I don't.
