[Home Replacement App] Slide Screen is Out!!

JonJyu I know you were using the SweeterHome for a bit, please post back after some use and let us know if it's more stable than SH was (I've abandoned SH). I'm back to stock now because it seems none of these homescreen replacements are very stable or reliable after a few days (least on my phone). Looking forward to an update.

I put this on and played with it for a bit then went back to stock home. But then I got to thinking, its got most of what I use on one screen and getting to the other stuff is pretty easy. Maybe more customization would be nice but this is a very good start. And as another posted looks wonderful.

This is a great home replacement for those who don't use widgets much. As I only had a weather and clock widget this works for me, it replaces both.

It was just a bit too "in your face" for me. It worked very well for the little bit of time I had it installed, just wasn't a fan. Information overload on my home screen.

I really dont like it that much. I think this is targeted for business people who need all their info on one sheet. I personally think it is'nt very user friendly.

Beside my opinion it works great at no reason should this app not get 5 stars.

There is a very complete review on Slide screen here - with lots of photos and tips on how to use it.

I have been using it for the past 24 hours - but just reverted back to my normal home screen - as missed the easy access to my widgets.

Is there a way to set Slide Screen as the default home screen, and still access the stock home screen without clearing defaults. This would solve needing occasional access to widgets.

Download an app in the market called Home Switcher. It like a gui for launching home replacements! Really useful!

Yeah, I'm going to try the free version for a couple of days. It certainly looks interesting and it's nice having all that info on the home screen. It needs a bit more customization in my opinion and the weather should use your current location instead of being fixed to one place. Other than that... it looks nice and presents a lot of info in a clean way.
