How do I know when they recieve my text??

Hi, Im using handcent for texting. When I text my girlfriend I would like to know when she receives my text. I was wondering if there was any way to do that? She is on verizon.

I have enabled the feature to "notify when message is received. (needs carrier support)".

The only way I get that little green check next to my text when she receives it, is by going to my stock texting app, and clicking on message report. And if it says that she has received it on that, if I go back to handcent, that little green check will be there. What gives?

What am I doing wrong, if anything?

I spoke too soon. I got it right after I posted this. If anyone else is having this problem make sure you enable delivery reports.
To get there go to Settings ->Receive message settings

Open Handcent, tap menu, tap settings, tap receive message settings. There are several settings there that should help.
