How do I make a poll?

Been looking around, can't seem to find out how/where to do this.

When you create a new thread, if you scroll down there is a "post a poll" section, check the box and answer the applicable areas and once you click submit you will complete the remainder of the poll...

I tried that. When I preview post I didn't see any other options. When I submitted the post, it just posted the thread? What should I see?
