How does the Droid 1 fare with wifi?

I didn't know there was an issue with Wifi either. My phone hasn't had any trouble with Wifi.

I have zero problems with wifi on my OG until last night.
When wifi is enabled , I see connecting... and then Disconnected. The phone continues this until I disable wifi. I am rooted and using GPA12 ROM and Peter Alfonso's 1.1 Kernel. The other OG in the family has the same setup and has no issues with wifi. I was going to replace the kernel and see if that helps. any suggestions on which one to try???

To rool I like raiders and chevys kernels they run cool work great and since I never run my phone all the way down I can only tell you that I know I get about 8 to 10 hours on a half charge.

My brothers OG Droid, rooted , stock rom runs wifi fine on wifi. His wife's non rooted runs fine on wifi.
They both use mostly wifi and look for free hot spots as well.
I'm in agreement, though data plan is the norm,I run my Omnia wifi only and when the contract is up on my Inc it will be wifi only as well. I'm going back to a dumbphone as a phone since hot spots are so readily available around me and at home.
