How to Deodex Droid 2 GB, no wipe required.

FWI if you wipe wigth the deodexed rom then your screwed and have to SBF!!! i KNOW ITS HAPPENED TO ME TWICE!

Yup. Learned the hard way....first time ever flashing anything from computer and it was an intense experience for me. Might just go back to apex. I loved apex. I miss apex

yeah ive SBF'ed about 20 times, its a easy fix for making a bad theme or flashing a bad file hahaha. Verizon is proabily woundering why i reactivate my phone so much lol

you have these steps you choose
step one runs fine as does step 2 then step 3 just gives error

I told you that step 3 requires that you remove mediagallery.apk and .odex and videoplayer.apk and .odex for it to work.

If your failing at option 3 try updating Java.

Tried it on my old comp running xp and got a java issue after running option 3, then tried it on my windows 7 with updated java and it worked fine.

i did update java and that didnt fix my errors either ....i may try updating again

where can i download the two files we erased at step three the two apk files?

You can get them out of my rom, or just install my rom as it has optimizations.
