How to disable (temporally) the 2nd noise canceling mic on Droid 2?

Ok, I know the Droid 2 has a second mic somwhere for noise canceling. Thats good for phone calls not so good for audio recording and using my phone as a guitar tuner as it cancels out some of the frequencies. Is there a "hack" or app to disable this when I'm using these apps that rely on the mic?

I'm not sure where the second mic is.

Primary mic is on the bottom edge (Droid2 pic)

Noise canceling mic is on the very top of the back (Droid1 pic, should be the same location)
