Hi all,
My gmail was recently hacked (south korea, according to the ip) and spam was sent to all of my contacts. I changed my password but I continued to receive alerts so I closed my gmail and created a new account....BIG MISTAKE!! Now I can't edit gmail and it does not recognize my new gmail as a default on the droid x. Because the old gmail account doesn't exist anymore I can't access marketplace and other features on the dx. The solution I have found so far is to wipe the phone and start over. Here is the question.....I would like to save some text messages before I wipe my phone. So I would like to download a sms app from my laptop and transfer it to the phone. The problem I am running into is that when I set the phone to mass storage and connect with the USB the latptop does not recognize my sm card. Any suggestions? Is this related to the gmail defaults that I can't access anymore?

Thanks.
