How to go from rooted 2.0.1 to Froyo?

Hi, I have managed to root my phone and install the Bugless Beast rom. I didn't receive the 2.1 OTA update as a result. Now I'd like to load the new 2.2 Froyo version. Can someone direct me to some steps to follow? (I don't understand what I'm doing, but I can follow well-outlined steps easily)

Here's what my phone says:
Firmware verson: 2.0.1
Baseband version C_01.3E.01P
Kernel Version: 2.6.29-chevyno1@ubuntu-compache06_unionfs253-sholes-omap1
Build number: Bugless Beast 1.1
(it is rooted, I have the 'superuser permisson ninja icon' in the app window)

I appreciate the help - just point me in the right direction!

Thanks.

I'm in the same situation. I chose not to switch to 2.1 for various reasons but the prospects of running rooted 2.2 excite me. I have been Googling this question for days and registered here hoping for an answer. It seems like such an easy question....

You can use Blackdroid's 2.2 release without any problems.

Follow the directions on the page. Just make sure you have SPRecovery flashed. You can do this through Rom Manager if you're using Clockwork.

I'm also pretty sure there is a 2.2 ROM on Rom Manager itself.
