i am getting a replacement phone in a few days. I was wondering if using the backup i made right before i rooted would make it be back to stock, so i could return it?

if not that, will doing a factory reset through the settings on the phone work?

idk if there's more to it or not, but my "about phone" says

Firmware version: 2.1-update1
Baseband version: C_01.3E.03P
Kernel version: 2.6.29-omap1-g7fa8788
android-build@apa26 #1
Build number: ESE81

Your backup was made after you installed sprecovery, so sprecovery would still be on the phone. The above post is correct, reflash to the 2.01 stock sbf file. There is a link in the 3rd link of my signature to it.
