Once you sbf you will have an uprooted phone. It will be just like out of the box. Then from there reroot. Sbf'ing will give you a clean slate

Sorry, you are talking to a noob, so how would I go about SBF'ing. Can you give me instructions.

Is your phone the A853 or the A854? Because if it's the A853, you might need to root your phone differently.
