It's actually not all that bad. Install Amon Ra, go under the developers menu choose the root option. Done.

when i installed amon and went to developers menu, no root option, only install su and superuser.... is this it

yes, the install superuser and su is what you want.

This is what i get when i try to use the one_click_root1.1. the phone has been unlocked already and i confirmed it by putting it in bootloader mode. htc sync has been uninstalled from my computer and restarted. and i have rebooted my phone since then too. please help as i do not know what to do. thank you

htc sense version: 3.5
software nuumber: 2.01.605.11
build number: 2.01.605.11 CL252791 release-keys

idk what else you want me to put on there to verify

I'm seeing the same thing. I'm running the OTA from last Thursday.

idk what else you want me to put on there to verify

This is the new update that just came out. As far as I know there is no root for OTA but I know if you are unlocked with custom recovery there is a prerooted version over at XDA that you can flash.

Amon Ra Recovery will root the OTA, no problem.
