[HOW TO] Root without using ADB

I checked in my app drawer I have the ninja there....

does this mean if I turn off my phone I have to so the process over again since I got that error?

Update: went back into terminal and typed su but got su: permission denied

Did the process again and worked like a charm!!!! Thanks for these easy instructions

now on tot he Bootloader!!!

Install Astro from the market and in its settings, make sure Enable Browser Downloads is checked.
 
When I get tot he process to type in ./exploid I get a errors saying ./exploid not found.

The file is there I can see it.

Just not sure why its erroring out one me.

did you extract the zip file into the download directory? I think I had the same problem last night and then realized I hadn't extracted

You missed:
chmod 755 exploid
