Okay, well, I have had the Droid since December 25, 2009 and I was wondering how I would go about switching from my Droid to the Droid Incredible and how much it would cost.

Thanks in advance.

If you got your Moto Droid in December for a contract price, expect to pay full retail for the Incredible, which is around $530.

Crap. I bought a brand new 2-year contract for the Droid in December... damn. I really want the incredible. D:

You could sell your Droid on Ebay to help ease the pain of a new purchase. However now there will be a few more of them for sale on Ebay with people doing the same thing you are, so the price you get will go down. I'm not sure if being rooted and running custom software would help or hurt the sale... I guess whoever you sell it to could choose between stock or custom.

But I think it's too early for people to start jumping ship to the Incredible. It's only been 5 months since we got our Droids. Also the Incredible is just a Nexus One for the most part. The spec improvement isn't yet enough to start thinking of leaving. I also am running an overclocked custom rom and I compared it side by side with a guy that had a Nexus One and he was upset how well my Droid compared.

Just imagine what awesome new phones will be coming out a year from now. I would wait a bit longer.

I would just wait until your droid contract is over, if you are playing this game of always getting the next best thing.. it will never end, in 6 months you'll be selling your incredible and buying something else..

My Droid contract ends in November. I had a Dare late last year and was still months away from my new every two date....so I kind of suggested I'd bolt to apple and pay my $100 termination fee ($100 plus $199, not too bad actually). So they gave me the Droid for $249 and a one year contract. Now I've lost the new every two discount. But I can swing the best deal I can manage at that time. I play on both teams. :) I have a Droid, iTouch, and iPad and like 'em all. But that Incredible really intrigues me with the faster processor. And maybe we'll have an iPhone for Verizon in several months.

True. I just really like the way the sense ui compliments the incredible and how zippy and clean everything is. I also love the camera on it.

But then again, something better will be out in like 6 months and I'll want to sell the incredible.
