Unlocking of bootloader worked fine, however the rooting did not. I did fastboot boot boot.img and was stuck at the Google logo . I'm guessing this is because I updated prior to the attempt

Everytime i try to do any fastboot command, be it using ADB or this superboot method the cmd prompt says " < waiting for device >" and nothing ever happens. really getting frustrated at this point

So as of this moment we can unlock the LTE Bootloader, Root and gain SU, but cant go backwards, and dont have a .sbf ro revert back to completely new? Im just trying to get this straight before I pull the trigger.

only motorola uses sbf. but i believe once we get a custom recovery we should be able to restore pretty easily.

i installed the update before going through the steps.

i'm not sure why, but mine failed a couple of times trying to get past the bootloader (step 7). after a few reboots and attempts (i did nothing different as far as i can tell), it worked.

rooting was no problem. as has been reported, it hung at "google" for a few minutes but then all went well.

ohh I C. what does it take to compile a recovery? root access and a DEV trick or two to pull the img from the device?

is there a wireless teathering app that works once rooted? from the google wiki?

I updated to 4.0.2 also and root worked. What OS do you have?

Just need to wait for the modified stock ROM and we can unroot/lock bootloader again in case of needing to return for warranty reasons.

I updated to 4.0.2 also and root worked. What OS do you have?

Windows 7 64-bit, all my drivers are working properly, its an issue with the boot.img.

I'm trying to just wait longer at the Google logo before battery pulling. I read somewhere else getting past the google logo took a few minutes with the unlocked boot.img

It took about 3 minutes to reboot after running root command for me.

No luck, going on 5 minutes now :/ gonna try the superboot method instead of manual I guess.
