How to update miui

I'm on miui.us 1.8.5 n way behind in updates I downloaded latest from rom mgr n it didn't take a sec. is this file messed up r how do I use it wipe all then flash please helpp

to flash the newest update you'll need to be on the Gingerbread kernel. First SBF to .602 and then download the newest MIUI from miui.us and flash it in CWM, make sure to wipe data/cache/dalvik
