How's that update working for you?

Can't make out the picture very well, but if you guys are getting that much more battery life I'm gonna have to apply the update.

Don't know why it came out blurry...sorry uploaded from my phone through tapatalk. But yeah battery life is nothing short of stellar after the update.

My fault I meant the box with a check mark as the alarm clock notification icon is random. Not what you mentioned

i thought is was a small square clock with the hours hand at 10 and the minute hand at 2.

I thought the problem was something to do with the keyboard software. I downloaded and use SwiftKey. I get the spacecraft problem every once in a while and thought it was just me. It never got bad enough though for me to lose root and send back.

I don't think this has been addressed yet so I'll ask it: Has anyone who installed the update had the hard keyboard issues?

How's the RAM useage looking for you updaters. I'd specifically like to know how much ram the launcher is taking up now. Also, how much ram is being kept free on boot and on average? Thanks in advance.

I'm really starting to feel the itch to install this update, but no sbf and possibly not getting to upgrade if a newer update comes out has me worried sick!

No hard keyboard problems for me and battery life is AMAZING. Screen was on for 3 hours. Sitting at 18%. Probably get close to double that if I use juice defender.

Curious if the update seems to have fixed this:

Has anyone experienced problems with the GPS finding your location without having to restart the phone first?

No problem with that either. It also locks on much faster.

Not to hijack this thread, but I'm a brand new Droid 3 user and I cant figure out how to download and install this update on my phone. I can't download it directly to my phone. I've downloaded it on my pc but now how do I get all the files onto my phone? If there's a thread that already goes through explicit directions on this, I apologize and wonder if someone could point me in the right direction? Thanks! Chris

It should be a zip file. Plug your phone up to the computer and put it in mass storage mode. Transfer the file to the ecternal sd card. Turn your phone off and then hold the x button while you press the power button to turn it on. Then you're going to hold the vol up button and press the vol down button. Then select install update.zip. Select the update file. Make sure you're stock before doing this and you should be good.

The only odd thing I have with the update is gtalk won't remain the new video version after a reboot. Talk is still on there after a reboot, but it is the original. I have to go into system/app with root explorer and hit Talk2.apk and tell it to install in order to have the updated version again. Very annoying.
