The latest internal hardware intel on the next HTC flagship device, the HTC 10, suggests a couple of interesting features. According to the master news spy @evleaks, the HTC 10 will include a 5.2-inch Super LCD 5 display instead of the previously rumored Super AMOLED screen.
This technology is basically an improvement over the Super LCD 3 found in the HTC One M9. The main difference between Super LCD and a traditional LCD is that the liquid crystal element is laminated directly onto the display, instead of their being a small gap between them. The advantages of Super LCD include:
- A more clear panel
- It makes the software seem closer to the surface than you visualize in a traditional LCD panel
- Reduces screen glare
The question is... can these small improvements make the HTC 10 stand out from the impressive devices from Samsung and LG?
