Another question: Before today, has anyone heard of the Mecha? it sounds familiar? And if so, what was it thought to be?

Only thing found I just posted a few up about.. On Oct 28 they showed on htcsense.com the mecha as an available phone, but it was up on the site with a default pic of an original Hero. Then it went off the site. No information was given other then that. Anyone know anything else??

I will stay civil and say, I have been paying attention to both threads for a while. I will also say you are getting too worked up. Calm down. I will give you the benefit of the doubt since you are obviously upset by the negative news (from Endgadget, ADNews, BGR) and ignore your unnecessary banters.

To be quite honest, nobody here was on a contract with Miami promising pictures. If he is right and phone comes tomorrow, You thank him. If it ends up being wrong, you are mad. Dude there is a reason why it is called RUMOR. It is okay if something does not work out the way you want it to.

I think this is a good thing. I would feel like I'd been had if I bought a phone and three months later a 4G version came out. Far as I can see in the pic of the "Mecha", it looks like there is a 3G AND 4G symbol. That means it'll be 4G capable for when Verizon finally gets the LTE going and we won't be stuck with a 4.3 inch 3G brick. It's going to have to run on 3G cause think about it, are only people in big citys only going to use this thing? Absolutley not. I bet it'll be out in January. Hopefully it will be all ironed out and ready to go by then.

Verizon wont release LTE phones till March from what i have been reading.

Well, hopefully it will be "4G capable", and maybe that will allow it to be released before then possibly? Time will only tell. If it will be pushed back till March, they will have to do a lot more to the processor and speed of the thing because of the dual-core phones coming out by then to make it competitive.

most people wont have 4g till 2012-2013. so verizon is going to make a lot of money for customers paying extra for 4g when they are only getting 3g. so i hope 3g this year. lte next year with this phone.

i wonder what kind of processor will be in this thing we all were told 1.2 GHZ but with duel core comingn a few months dont really see the point of this phone on 4g should of had a 3g version

Don't worry. I think this picture was just shown to prove its LTE bound and wont be around anytime this year. But when one leak comes along, others will follow trust me.

I hope the same thing Vanilla, but realize the EVO has been doing just that since it was released....making people pay an extra $10 on their bill just cause it's a 4G device. I have two close friends who have an EVO and they do just that, and we all live 190 miles north of NYC so 4G is useless to us. I imagine Verizon would like in on this money-making scheme too man. No doubt about that.

Well from the what I heard it seems I was right and this one picture was just to shut down the whole 3G device and confirming it was 4G. But hey, at least we know what it looks like now. Soon I'm sure, he always comes through.

Would have been nice to hear from Miami tonight, but technically he doesnt owe an explanation until tomorrow. He made no promise of info tonight, we just assumed. Still have my fingers crossed for the long shot pre sale, if nothing happens, maybe he will have a statement at that time.
